What a Day Could Look Like …
Every Pep the Poet workshop is tailor-made to suit your school, your children and what you would like to achieve from the day.
For schools I’m visiting for the first time, one of the first questions I’m often asked is,
“What does a typical Pep the Poet day look like?”
There’s plenty of flexibility, but here’s an example of the format that many schools choose:
9.00 am – Whole-school Assembly
9.30 am – Reception
9.45 am – Year 1
10.15 am – Break
10.30 am – Year 2
11.00 am – Year 3
11.30 am – Year 4
12.15pm – Lunch
1.15pm – Year 5
2.00pm – Year 6
2.45pm – Celebration assembly inviting in parents
After school – Meet the Author session and book signing

Workshops for community groups
For Charities
We believe in community and giving back. Supporting community groups, especially charities, is central to our philosophy. We aim to make a meaningful impact through initiatives that foster positive change and provide essential resources.
For HAF Groups
Pep the Poet is dedicated to making a positive impact in our community. One of the primary ways he does this is by supporting Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) groups. These programs provide essential services to children and families during school holidays, ensuring that everyone has access to nutritious meals and enriching activities. Pep’s focus is delivering engaging and fun poetry workshops.
Writing Groups
One of the most rewarding aspects of my work as a published poet is sharing the techniques and insights that make poetry not just a form of expression, but an exhilarating experience for both the writer and the reader.
Bespoke Sessions
Pep has been fortunate to work on a wide range of projects and facilitate writing groups for Scouts and Guides, family support groups, prisons, church groups, the WI, senior citizens and many more.
