Writing Day

Inspire children to put pen to paper with a fun, creative poetry writing day for pupils in KS2. (Sessions can also be adapted for Year 2 by arrangement.)

Through playful activities and shared ideas, I help children discover that they have something worth writing about, building confidence and encouraging even reluctant writers to get involved.

Together, we explore how a poem takes shape, from finding an idea and experimenting with words to crafting lines and making changes. Sessions are tailored to each age group, with templates and other support to scaffold learning where needed, including for children with SEND. This helps make the whole experience inclusive for everyone.

Above all, it’s a day full of imagination, encouragement and fun, helping children find their own words and feel proud of what they create.
